So you want to be a
real
Jalop? Well then, as you may be aware you need to drive a stick shift (haha just kidding, ...mostly). If you’re in the US and want one you’re faced with an ever shrinking list of options. Sadly more warriors have fallen in the battle against torque converters and flappy-paddles.
Small and Midsize Cars
For compacts not much has changed, instead of a Mazda 2 we have a Scion iA. The Buick Regal and VW Passat drop their cluches in 2016 :(

Trucks and SUVs
With the exception of Jeep,
Fiat
, and Subaru only front wheel drive CUVs offer a manual option. For trucks only the Tacoma offers a manual on 4/6 cylinders and 2/4 wheel drive configurations (i.e. non-worktrucks). Like the FJ Cruiser, the Nissan Xterra bit the dust along with its transmission.

Audi A4/S4 (last year?)
Audi A5/S5
BMW 2 Series
BMW 3/4 Series
BMW M3/M4
BMW M5/M6
Cadillac ATS (4 cyl only)
Cadillac ATS-V
Chevrolet SS
Sport(y) Cars
No more gated shifters for the Audi R8, but the Jaguar F Type is a new member to the club! The Mercedes SLK is no more, and it’s replacement is auto only. Fiat just reveled the Miata-based 124 Roadster, I’m not sure if it’s technically available yet. I assume the Aston Martin Vantage still offers a manual, not that any exist probably.
Aston Martin Vantage
BMW Z4 (4 cyl only)
Chevrolet Camaro
Chevrolet Corvette
Dodge Challenger (8 cyl only)
Dodge Viper
Fiat 124 Spider
Ford Mustang

Lotus Evora
Mazda MX5 Miata
Nissan 370Z
Porsche Boxster/Cayman
Porsche 911 (not on GT3 or Turbo)
Scion/Subaru FR-S/BRZ
And thus continues the slow inevitable march towards the extinction of the manual transmission. A few brands no longer offer any (Mercedes and Infiniti). At this rate soon no luxury or anything larger than a compact will have a manual, and high performance manuals may soon die off as well.
I would do a list of manuals outside of the US, but the list would be impossibly large. Pretty much every Peugeot, Citroen, Seat, Skoda, Opel, VW, Ford, Fiat, etc offers one. Some notable cars that are available in the US but have manuals available elsewhere:
Audi A3, A6
BMW 5, X1, X3
Mercedes CLA, C Class, E Class

You can still get a 335 or a 340 with a 6mt, a 435 with a 6mt, the M5 and M6 still come in a manual, the Z4 comes with a manual with the 6 cyl. so does the 2 series, some 5 series have a manual but it’s a special option.
Pretty much any BMW can have a manual if you ask nicely except SUV’s and electric cars.

Not legal - BMW couldn’t do it. I’ve tried with the S3, who similarly will outfit their cars just about any way from the factory. My dad got the a8 steering wheel in his a6. But changing the transmission option, even when it’s offered with a stick in Europe, is a big no-go.

I drove one for a new car PDI at work a couple of months ago (yes, they do exist!). It was special ordered.
I was very surprised. It was like driving a lifted RSX almost. The clutch was a little soft but the shifts were surprisingly short and precise. If only they could get it to hold up to the AWD system, it would be my next car.

It’s a darn shame that manuals are becoming so rare here in the USA. While there may not be perceived “demand” for the straight drive, I would bet that every car with manual that a manufacturer offers would get purchased. The same goes for wagons. Offer them in the US and they’ll be gobbled up!
